Photography

Trillium Studios offers photographic services to help you tell your story.

Our photographic assignments have taken us to remote villages and to major cities around the world. We have documented carpet weavers in India, brain surgeons in LA, soldiers in Belfast, park rangers in Alaska, spider farmers in Arizona and crocodile farmers in Queensland, politician in the Kremlin, political upheaval in China, diamond miners in Siberia, dancers in Papua New Guinea, elephants, giraffes, and fog basking beetles in Namibia and hundreds of precious objects in museums from the Tower of London to Baku. We’ve made portraits of artists, musicians, fashion designers, an African prince, the British Queen, and an Australian sausage king.

Our projects are documentary, commercial, photo-illustration, and portraiture. With pictures we have told stories of poverty and wealth, the powerful and the powerless, environmental degradation and preservation. To get close to our subjects we have worked on farms and in mines, in helicopters and rickshaws, at 50 below and 125 above, worn tuxedos, flack vests, parkas and snorkels. We’ve repelled down canyon walls, walked in protests, recorded funeral rites and joined pilgrimages.

In our studio, we have created images of fashion for designer Issey Miyake, robots for Boston’s Museum of Science, suspended animation for Scientific American, artists and their art for American Craft, live scorpions for National Geographic, CD covers for musicians, a flag made of American cheese, a cranberry sauce sculpture, duck feet, a spear wielding plant and a cat in a straight jacket.

You can find our photographs in magazines, books, films, advertisements and museums and on the Internet.
